The main reason showers leak are down to a few different problems. There is movement in the building and this causes the grout to crack and leak between the shower floor and wall. The grout also breaks down over time and holes appear and the grout becomes porous . This lets water seep into the adjoining walls causing the damage to the walls and carpets etc. Almost all leaks are in the shower floor area. If the problem isn’t fixed the water damage will spread . This can attract white ants also the moisture can lift timber floors and there will constantly be a damp smell in the house. What We Do?
Before we start work we do a moisture reading on your walls to assess the moisture level if necessary. We check that you do not have any loose tiles.
We use a diamond tipped tool to remove the grout in the shower corners and floor. Then these areas are regrouted.
We remove the grout in the shower hob and 3 wall tiles up from the floor. We re-grout these areas using Aquaseal flexible additives. This makes the grout more flexible and is also a sealing agent.
We apply a clear sealing product to all the grout on the wall tiles. This will seal any hair line cracks on the wall grout.
We remove the taps and silicone around the tap spindles as some times water does find its way into the walls from there. If the tap spindles are leaking we can also replace these for a modest fee. 99% of leaks come from the floor and shower corners not the wall grout.

Before We Arrive
Please make sure all the taps and shower heads are not leaking.
The shower must not be used for at least 24 hours before we arrive.
Please clean the shower recess as we can’t re-grout until this is done.
After the completed job please do not use the shower for at least 48 hrs.
